We are done! It's been coming for awhile, but as of today we are officially done! I am tired of your lies. Maybe you are just delusional, have a screw loose, a bad chip or something. But I am finally done playing this game with you.
I know better than to believe what you tell me. Your answers change from one second to the next. A slight shift here a slight shift there and you tell me something different every time. No more!
I ignored all of the advice I gleaned in college and chose you anyway. I knew it was potentially self destructive. I have made excuses for you and blamed myself. You are too complicated and high maintenance.
This last time was the final straw. You might tell me nothing has changed, but I know for a fact it has. Others have seen the improvement, despite what you tried to tell me. Yes, I have been checking up on you. Honestly, I haven't fully trusted you from the start. And looking at myself in the mirror only confirms that you have to go!
No, Mr. Scale, I haven't worked as hard as I have the last two weeks monitoring calories in and out, working out 6 days a week to have a minimum of a 500 calorie deficit each day just to have you to try to tell me I haven't lost a single ounce!! And then I get back on you and you go down slightly. And then I get on again and you register higher than the first reading. Seriously? NOT POSSIBLE!
Not when my clothes are already fitting better. Not when the measuring tape tells me I am down an inch in the waist and an inch and a half in the hips. I haven't gained over 2 pounds of muscle to offset what should be at least a 2 pound weight loss. Not yet anyway.
Yes, Mr. Scale, it is time for us to part ways. I am going to keep on keeping on with my fitness plan and my measuring tape. No more "weight loss" mentality for me. You are going in the donation bin. Maybe, I should be kind and just throw you in the trash so some other person doesn't get suckered into believing your nonsense.
Oh, and did I mention I have lost an inch in my waist and an inch and a half in my hips in two weeks? Yeah me!

Yay you! We've never owned a scale. I don't trust them. I think the diet industry rigs them to keep the masses hookes on their fitness plans. I'M ON TO YOU, BIG-DIET!!!
