Weekly Summary of FMS Photo a Day: Sept 1 - 7

    Sep 7, 2013 · 2 Comments

I am not in the greatest of moods today, so I can either treat you to another ranting blog or another photo post. Photos win.

This month in the FMS Photo a Day challenge, I am trying to do everything with a food or cooking theme. One of the reasons I need to work on my photo taking skills is for That Recipe so I thought it made sense. Some of the prompts are going to be a challenge, but will see if I can find some creativity in my sleep deprived brain.

Day 1: Together - salt and pepper shakers carved by my grandfather.

Day 2: My name begins with - A. The avocado quickly became guacamole after this (omit peas, and put back in the avocado)

Day 3: Alone - one little eggplant all alone. I have a few more blossoms and the plant looks good, but I think the heat may be keeping them from setting more fruit (like tomatoes)

Day 4: Lines - "shoosh kabots", as my son calls them, on the grill.

Day 5: Here Forever - Grandma Ruth may be gone, but as long as I have the tablecloth she made and the one handled rolling pin she will be here forever.

Day 6: Getting Ready - my sous chef getting dinner ready (the coating for the crust on the Spaghetti Pie)

Day 7: White - egg whites in the skillet becoming scrambled eggs a la Julia Child.

That's all I have for today. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

"Shoosh kabots" is awfully cute. 🙂
