Since today we officially observed the Feast of the Epiphany in the Catholic faith, it was time to take down the last of the Christmas decorations. Sigh! It is usually a bittersweet moment for me when I put away the tree and ornaments. I am not one of those perfectly coordinated, themed tree kind of people. It is a mishmash of homemade and store bought - some here in the U.S. and some in other countries. I can tell you where I got each one.
For me it is a memory tree.
A few of the homemade treasures
I have given my husband an ornament every year we have been together - he may get his own tree soon.
Some of the ornaments from those that are now watching over us from heaven.
And somewhere hidden in the back of the tree every year, this little fellow hides - just because he makes me smile.
And now everything is put away for another 11 months.
See you soon, my friend.
