In honor of St Patrick's Day and the first day of Spring right around the corner, I thought I 'd share some gorgeous green spring garden photos with you.
Vitis vinifera (Thompson seedless grapes) RAISINS! at least that's what I will probably make with the fruit in the summer.
Fragaria × ananassa (strawberry) I grabbed a few sets of bareroot strawberries and I don't remember which this one is. Hopefully it will live and we will get a strawberry or two this year.
Cynara scolymus (Globe artichokes) So far I don't see any flower stalks but the plant is HUGE this year.
Pisum sativum var. macrocarpon (Sugar Snap Peas) from Mary's Heirloom Seeds (not a sponsor, just a recommendation if you are looking for organic non-GMO seeds)
Rhamnus californica (California coffeeberry) No, it doesn't really grow coffee beans.
Arctostaphylos - (manzanita) They do look like little apples, don't they? They are only about ¼ inch across.
Arctostaphylos sunset (sunset manzanita) I love that the new growth on this plant looks like a sunset and then turns green.
