I actually finished the November "wreath" before the first of the month this time around. Yeah me! Like the other door decorations I have made this year, this one cost me nothing. But, even if you had to buy some of the supplies it still shouldn't cost more than $5-$10. And I am thrilled at how our Thanksgiving Turkey Banner came out.
Materials for Thanksgiving Turkey Banner:
- 12" cardboard circle (recycled from a frozen pizza)
- cardboard or craft foam for the body and sign
- ½ yard approximate burlap (to cover the circle and sign)
- brown felt or flannel to cover the body
- felt fall leaves
- 2 google eyes
- red pompom
- yellow craft foam scrap
- paint or markers
- string or ribbon
- glue
Directions for Thanksgiving Turkey Banner:
Once it is all dry, hang it on the door to greet your guests this month.

As you may have noticed, we Americans have a bit of an obsession about turkeys this time of year.
