Are you looking for a quick and easy craft to dress up your home? This candle holder comes together in minutes and can be dressed up to match cany decor, season or holiday.
This candle holder was actually a gift from my mother. I deconstructed it and added a bit to it for purposes of this post. This could easily be created by anyone preschool-age or older. Just make sure there are no sharp edges on the can and you help youngsters to avoid pinched fingers.
Supplies:
- small tin can (tuna fish can for example) - cleaned and label removed
- small candle - real or battery operated
- clothes pins - paint if desired
- ribbons and other decorations
Directions:
Clip clothes pins around the edge of the can.
Insert candle.
Decorate as desired:
Some ideas with items from my craft stash:
I didn't have any ribbon for Easter or any of the patriotic holidays, but I think you can use your imagination and figure out how to dress it up to match your decor or the season.

Thanks, Emmy. Right now mine is plain but I need to get a bit of green on it.
