Some people are sentimental when it comes to Mother's Day. Not me, laughter helps me keep a grip on this motherhood gig. Perhaps one of the other Friday Frivolity hosts went for the sentimental route, so be sure to check them out. I chose 10 of my favorite funny motherhood quotes:

The Hosts:
Lisa is an awesomely hilarious and authentic writer who marches to her own drum on her blog Syncopated Mama, providing an "un-labelly spot" for all the happily off-beat folks out there who have been wishing to find kindred spirits. She shares her adventures building a natural home, teaching her adorbs daughter, establishing and refining positive communication skills, camping, creating, cooking, and so much more! She reveals her 5 favorite Literary Characters this week on her weekly series 5 after 5.
Jessica is an amazingly funny and smart blogger from Wales who writes at Babi a Fi on a whole range of topics -- from entertaining vintage nostalgia, to technology tutorials, to book reviews, to raising her adorable munchkin, and so much more! She tells us what she has been reading lately from a cute counting book with her daughter to the true story of a missing American in Japan later found murdered.
In a fun twist, since we now have four hosts we will also have FOUR FEATURES.... but you will have to go check out the other three blogs to see if you were featured there! 😉
My featured post this week is: Ikea Hack: Lego Table from Keeping it Real. I love anything that will keep Legos off my floor. It's a great frugal idea that looks great. Kids happy, parents are happy, win win!
Now time for the new stuff!
This a link-up for all things funny, fun, encouraging, hopeful, and happy. That includes free printables, giveaways, and other fun stuff to make us SMILE and start the weekend off on the right foot.

I am SO NOT sentimental, either! My poor mom would love nothing more than some overly-mushy card, but all she gets from me are jokey ones with quotes like these! I love that we chose two of the same quotes - great minds think alike!
Audrey Humaciu says
My mom would probably prefer those sappy cards too. Instead she got a homemade card this year - which I know she will love.
Sarah Eliza @ devastateboredom says
She definitely can't complain about a homemade card! Those are always the best. 🙂
The sweater thing was my favorite -- it is so true! 😛 Great choices of quotes though, and your commentary is hilarious!

I drive my son crazy making him take a sweatshirt to school even on warm days. But on those days the classroom can be cold.
Jess Powell (Babi a Fi) says
Haha, I love that one about evolution - I feel like I need at least 12 these days!
I'm not very sentimental either, I must confess. Even with anniversaries and things like that, it's always Anthony who keeps track of the dates for both of us. 🙂 #fridayfrivolity

Half the time I don't know what day of the week it is, let alone the day of the month. I know when the important dates are, but I usually don't realize it is coming up until it is too late - ask my nieces and nephews.
