Our two week Spring Break spent entirely at home is sloooowly coming to a close. FEMA would take one look at my downstairs and write me a big fat disaster relief check on the spot. There is one skinny little path to get from doorway to doorway in the midst of the chaos. And my mother is stopping in for a visit. I should be cleaning. Instead I am looking up funny house cleaning memes.
But it was only because of our Friday Frivolity host theme. 😉

For those that are not on our mailing list, Sarah will be taking some maternity leave from the weekly party. She will be linking up and visiting and hopes to rejoin us as host when she is up for it. Luckily, Amethyst is joining us as a permanent host. The four of us will still be visiting you all and sharing your awesome posts.

Lisa is an awesomely hilarious and authentic writer who marches to her own drum on her blog Syncopated Mama, providing an "un-labelly spot" for all the happily off-beat folks out there who have been wishing to find kindred spirits. She shares her adventures building a natural home, teaching her adorbs daughter, establishing and refining positive communication skills, camping, creating, cooking, and so much more! Lisa's post Passport to Fun: Jamaica shares her unique approach to family date night and learning. This month it is off to Jamaica.
Calling all bloggers looking for an upbeat and supportive group of pals to join in hosting the weekly #FridayFrivolity par-tay! We are hoping to add to our ranks of dedicated hosts and co-hosts, and would love for you to consider joining the fun! Co-Hosts are welcome on a temporary basis (usually a month), while Hosts make a more ongoing commitment. 🙂 Swing by here to express interest and ask any questions!
Now time for the new stuff!

Hahaha! First of all, wow, a two-week spring break? And second of all, we should exchange photos of our paths from the front door, because I can't imagine yours looking any worse than mine! #FridayFrivolity

I agree! I mean why should we clean our house at all---it just gets dirty again!! LOL (unfortunately this is too close to how I really feel---my poor husband....)

I definitely feel that way most of the time. When my husband got home on Thursdays after I cleaned he asked my son who came over (my mom, haha!)

Love those memes - housework needs all the help it can get when it comes to giving us a smile!

So true, Leanne, so true.

Awesome reminder, and one I needed today. Thanks, Marilyn.

Ha! I love the one about cleaning for 2 hours before even getting to the point where you can apologize for the (socially acceptable) mess. If only it weren't so true.
