Our host theme for Friday Frivolity is First World Problems. Be sure to check what the other hosts have to share on the subject.
There were so many ways I could have gone with this prompt. And then I saw this post from my one of my neighborhood groups on Facebook.
Nothing screams FWP to me like Starbucks.
My neighbors take their Starbucks VERY seriously. This happened a few years ago.
ONE THOUSAND PEOPLE signed a petition to keep the neighborhood Starbucks open!!! SMH!
I'd be completely embarrassed, except I know the people in my neighborhood are not the only ones to freak out about all things Starbucks.
That's not entirely true. I do like the coffee. I just won't pay that kind of money. Now, if someone else is treating...

The Hosts:
Sarah Eliza is on a mission to Devastate Boredom by living a life full of all of her favorite things... friendship and connection, laughter, books and music, furbaby love, minimalism, wellness pursuits, Paleo-ish cooking, and on and on! She takes us on a Virtual Winter Sales Shopping Trip - Scarves and Gloves $10 and under!
Lisa is an awesomely hilarious and authentic writer who marches to her own drum on her blog Syncopated Mama, providing an "un-labelly spot" for all the happily off-beat folks out there who have been wishing to find kindred spirits. She shares her adventures building a natural home, teaching her adorbs daughter, establishing and refining positive communication skills, camping, creating, cooking, and so much more! Read about her Switzerland themed date night with her husband. Such a fun idea.
Jessica is an amazingly funny and smart blogger from Wales who writes on a whole range of topics -- from entertaining vintage nostalgia, to technology tutorials, to book reviews, to raising her adorable munchkin, and so much more! Do you need some new books to read? Go see her post "What I've Read This Month". I am in awe of how much reading she does, and I added quite a few more books to my Goodreads.
I chose this scrumptious looking Moroccan Chickpea Stew from The Life Jolie. I am really into Moroccan spices lately and I always need some meatless meal ideas this time of year.
Now time for the new stuff!
This is a link-up for all things funny, fun, encouraging, hopeful, and happy. That includes free printables, giveaways, and other fun stuff to make us SMILE and start the weekend off on the right foot.

LOL this was great. Yea, first world problems indeed! It's just coffee people! You can make it real cheap at home.
Audrey Humaciu says
That's what I do, and sometimes I even make a fresh pot instead of reheating leftovers.
Jess Powell (Babi a Fi) says
People really do take Starbucks very seriously! We were so excited when one opened in our town, it was like we had finally arrived! Lol. x
Audrey Humaciu says
10 years ago I was somewhat excited by them too, but now they are EVERYWHERE! I kid you not, there are 3 on one freeway off-ramp near me- one on the southbound side, one on the northbound side with another in the grocery store in the same parking lot!
Leanne@crestingthehill says
we do get our knickers in a knot over silly things don't we? People are starving or dying or fleeing their countries, you have Donald Trump running for president of one of the most powerful countries in the world.........and what do 1,000 people worry about? their local Starbucks! At least their concern brought about change 🙂
Audrey Humaciu says
Exactly! But, I know we all get upset over silly little things and need to remind ourselves of the bigger picture.
Jamie @ Medium Sized Family says
That's pretty funny. I used to enjoy getting a latte from there with my friend from time to time, but even the pumpkin spice lattes started to taste ick after awhile so we gave it up.
It's great what can happen when people come together, huh? Maybe next time they can organize a food drive or something. haha
Audrey Humaciu says
We could change the world with the power of outrage generated by Starbucks sometimes, ha ha!
Lisa/SyncopatedMama says
Ha! I don't drink coffee, so I don't think I would have ever thought to go the Starbucks route with this. So fun!
Melinda says
Funny! But now I need the Fri Frivolity button, and can't find one!
Audrey Humaciu says
Sarah might have taken out of this week's code. I will try to e-mail it to you.
Sarah Eliza says
Ahahaha love your choices! Starbucks really can highlight everything that's crazy in our culture... and I can't stand their plain coffee, I have to get something with tons of sugar to disguise it. But I'll confess, their coffee frappachinos are a hallmark of summer for me... ;P
