First World Problems – Starbucks Edition plus Friday Frivolity

Our host theme for Friday Frivolity is First World Problems. Be sure to check what the other hosts have to share on the subject.

There were so many ways I could have gone with this prompt. And then I saw this post from my one of my neighborhood groups on Facebook.

FWPNothing screams FWP to me like Starbucks.

My neighbors take their Starbucks VERY seriously. This happened a few years ago.

starbucks

ONE THOUSAND PEOPLE signed a petition to keep the neighborhood Starbucks open!!! SMH!

I’d be completely embarrassed, except I know the people in my neighborhood are not the only ones to freak out about all things Starbucks.

Humorous Starbucks memes - first world problems people obsess over Starbucks.

That’s not entirely true. I do like the coffee. I just won’t pay that kind of money. Now, if someone else is treating…

LOL this was great. Yea, first world problems indeed! It’s just coffee people! You can make it real cheap at home.

That’s what I do, and sometimes I even make a fresh pot instead of reheating leftovers.

10 years ago I was somewhat excited by them too, but now they are EVERYWHERE! I kid you not, there are 3 on one freeway off-ramp near me- one on the southbound side, one on the northbound side with another in the grocery store in the same parking lot!

we do get our knickers in a knot over silly things don’t we? People are starving or dying or fleeing their countries, you have Donald Trump running for president of one of the most powerful countries in the world………and what do 1,000 people worry about? their local Starbucks! At least their concern brought about change 🙂

Exactly! But, I know we all get upset over silly little things and need to remind ourselves of the bigger picture.

That’s pretty funny. I used to enjoy getting a latte from there with my friend from time to time, but even the pumpkin spice lattes started to taste ick after awhile so we gave it up.

It’s great what can happen when people come together, huh? Maybe next time they can organize a food drive or something. haha

Ha! I don’t drink coffee, so I don’t think I would have ever thought to go the Starbucks route with this. So fun!

Ahahaha love your choices! Starbucks really can highlight everything that’s crazy in our culture… and I can’t stand their plain coffee, I have to get something with tons of sugar to disguise it. But I’ll confess, their coffee frappachinos are a hallmark of summer for me… ;P
