10 Funny Motherhood Quotes plus Friday Frivolity

Some people are sentimental when it comes to Mother's Day. Not me, laughter helps me keep a grip on this motherhood gig. Perhaps one of the other Friday Frivolity hosts went for the sentimental route, so be sure to check them out. I chose 10 of my favorite funny motherhood quotes:

    Motherhood 1
It usually takes a Mother's pressure to get the kid to church anyway.

    Motherhood 3
My mother thinks this and it makes me want to gag any time she says it.

    Motherhood 6
I know I am. When you think about all of the things a mother endures, you'd have to be slightly insane to sign up for it.

[Tweet "Funny Quotes about Motherhood. #motherhood #funny"]

    Motherhood 2
Psssh! If we can get dinner ready, while talking on the phone to our mother and still know that our child is jumping on his bed instead of doing homework like he was supposed to do, following a couple of blips on a computer screen is nothing.

    Motherhood 5
Seriously! A mom needs at least 4 hands just to get an infant dressed without him rolling off the bed... and then they learn to crawl!

[Tweet "If evolution really works, how come mothers only have two hands? Milton Berle #motherhood #funny #quotes"]

    Motherhood 7
At least once a week. And I still have a few years until he hits the tweens and teens.

    Motherhood 9
There'd be a lot of leaving it in this house. So, I lie. "It's chicken!"

    Motherhood 8
So many great ones from Ms. Bombeck, it was hard to choose just one. But, this gives me the shakes just thinking about it.

    Motherhood 4
As long as I have my own Mommy suite...

    Motherhood 10
Guilty! I literally tell my son "Mommy is cold, put on a sweat shirt."

I am SO NOT sentimental, either! My poor mom would love nothing more than some overly-mushy card, but all she gets from me are jokey ones with quotes like these! I love that we chose two of the same quotes - great minds think alike!

My mom would probably prefer those sappy cards too. Instead she got a homemade card this year - which I know she will love.

She definitely can't complain about a homemade card! Those are always the best. 🙂

The sweater thing was my favorite -- it is so true! 😛 Great choices of quotes though, and your commentary is hilarious!

I drive my son crazy making him take a sweatshirt to school even on warm days. But on those days the classroom can be cold.

Haha, I love that one about evolution - I feel like I need at least 12 these days!

I'm not very sentimental either, I must confess. Even with anniversaries and things like that, it's always Anthony who keeps track of the dates for both of us. 🙂 #fridayfrivolity

Half the time I don't know what day of the week it is, let alone the day of the month. I know when the important dates are, but I usually don't realize it is coming up until it is too late - ask my nieces and nephews.
